Here is an out line of doing the inlay for the Art Deco Cabinet. I start by cutting out the pieces on the band saw.
The center maple sections are cut to a wedge shape then walnut pieces glued on either side
After the glue sets the walnut pieces get trimmed to the same wedge shape then second section maple pieces are glued to the walnut.
The secondary maple pieces are trimmed to the wedge shape.
The secondary maple pieces are trimmed to the wedge shape.
Now the profile is outlined over the panel and the shape is cut out with chisels..
I remove the Anigre Veneer then the first layer from the plywood.
Sections are ready for glue and the elements.
I tap the pieces into the openings. After the glue sets I trimmed the sections flat with saw and sanded smooth.
The inlaid panels are then glued to the carcase.
After these set, moldings will be set around the panel gluing it to the frame.
