Although I am a "woodworker", I have an interest in metalworking. This interest goes back to my college days when I turned several metal chess sets on a lathe.
I was bitten by that bug recently and turned another set. This set is turned from aluminum-the finish is enamel.
The set needed a board so I made one and the board needed a table so I made a table. Sometimes things can get out of hand! :^)
After seeing all those Jane Austen films I set out to design a piece that might have a chance of aquiring Mr. Darcy's "Good Opinion"
I settled on designing and building a writing desk.
It is well underway......
