This bed frame was made from Birds'eye Maple and Cherry. The wood came from the Upper Penninsula of Michigan and returned there in the form of this headboard.
The curved top is laminated maple strips which I then face veneered with more Birds'eye Maple separated by small strips of Cherry. The dowels are Maple wrapped in hand-planed Cherry to form the cattails.
