This is a Music Stand designed to hold the score to an the opera "Cyrano" composed by the late David DiChiera. DiChiera was an American composer and founding general director of Michigan Opera Theatre.
Fabrication of the stand begins with the Brass work.
This stand will utilize a Brass Desk Angle Adjustment Mechanism
Here is the G/F Cleff handle for the Vertical Height Pull Pin
The tripod base pieces are roughed out and glued together.
The"desk" is fabricated and temporarily mounted to the
Brass Adjustment Mechanism.
The column for the brass extension pole is first formed as a square with an opening down the center to accept the pole. The column will be temporarily capped and turned on the lathe to a round profile.Brass Adjustment Mechanism.
