Facing west as the Ferry moves across Muskegon Lake towards Lake Michigan.
Looking back East across Muskegon Lake
The upper deck of the ferry
Looking west again as we approach the channel that links Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan. Note how the Sun effects my camera. These pictures were all taken in the same lighting.
In the channel now. Several beautiful homes built along the channel as well as a great park.
The Silversides- a WWII Sunbmarine is docked in the channel.
Continuing down the channel. Lake Michigan looms ahead past the breakwater.
Near the breakwater is a lighthouse and a house that was built as a Coast Guard Station.
This building was actually built by my wife's great grandfather. It is no longer operated by the Coast Guard.
Here is a photo from it's days as a commissioned station.
I believe the building is now a NOAA observation station.

Just past the former Coast Guard Station is one of Michigan's many light houses. Fishing from the edge of the light house is a favorite past time of the locals.
Now on through the breakwater and to Lake Michigan....
