I am building a large Media Wall. This impressive project is designed around a cathedral ceiling and a Hi-Definition TV. The cabinets consist of a slender "Components Cabinet" and a larger bank of storage cabinets. The television is flanked by bookshelves that extend to the angled cathedral ceiling. Sliding doors will allow the TV to be hidden from view when not in use.
This project is build from Sapele harwood and veneer.

I assembled the large unit out in my barn because I wasn't sure I'd be able to get it out after putting it together. The barn isn't heated though and now I'm chasing the calendar to get the finish applied during warm enough temperatures.
I was very happy to find out I didn't need to take the unit apart any more than removing doors and drawers. The low bank of cabinets is fastened together and those connections are covered with plywood-so separating them would be a major hassle.
The top component cabinet is separate from the lower cabinet bank so with the help of my two great sons, we were able to slip the units back into the shop where although space is tight-I'll be able apply a varnish in adequate ambient temperatures.

OK The first round of Installation is sort of done.
The cabinets are installed and the doors temporarily hung. A couple doors need some tweaking on the fit but the handles aren't in yet and I'll wait till they are here before final adjustments.
In the meantime I'll be concentrating on the bookshelves that will rise to the cathedral ceiling on either side of the TV and Michelangelo picture.
