The Legs have to be removable.
The legs will have a 1/2-13 threaded rod epoxied and pinned into them.
The main case sections will receive custom milled threaded inserts.

These are the inserts- They are 3/4 OD cold rolled steel. They are drilled and tapped for 1/2-13 threads and have a slot milled into them for a pin that will keep them from turning should the epoxy fail in years down the road
I epoxied the first two into the front case assembly pieces.
I'll drill a hole and insert a pin into the slot.
I also epoxied the rods into the legs.
This took some playing around with another jig. My drill press is to short for the legs to get a hole drilled not to mention centered and perpendicular to the plane of the mating surface. So I came up with this jig.
The jig allows a 1/4" pilot hole to be drilled first.
I was able to then enlarge the holes for the fit of the rods.
